Require immigrants to provide proof of income and/or proof of financial support by family members or sponsors in US.

Immigrants to the US should be required to support themselves when they come to the US. The should be required to show proof of income so that they can independently provide for themselves. Or they need to provide proof of financial sponsorship. Immigrants (both legal & illegal) should not be on any of the social welfare program rolls paid by hard working tax payers. If immigrants cannot survive in the US without dependence on Medicare, Medicaid, WIC, social security disability, food stamps, etc.; then they need to be deported or taken off these social welfare programs. Social service benefits need to significantly decrease due to the financial crises this country is currently in.
