Require that the income of all United States senators and representatives be equal to the Median Income of Americans.

It's about time that the positions of pubic service in our country became places of honor instead of places for profit. In my home state of Alabama there was an amendment on our ballot recently to set the income of our state house and senate members at the median income of Alabama citizens. Nothing will motivate our country's representatives more to get our economy moving and end reckless spending than making only $50,000 or so (or even less) per year.
