We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Require individuals entering the U.S. Armed Forces to choose the option to waive or accept all benefits after service.

Created by J.C. on July 02, 2016

All Americans love and appreciate our Veteran's service to our country. We all feel indebted to their sacrifices and have only wanted to give back to them as much as possible. Over the last decade I have encountered numerous veterans that when stated we can do more, have responded that they feel the country does NOT owe them anything in return for their service and in fact we give too much. After hearing them voice their convictions it makes sense that we should give all individuals entering the military the option to waive all benefits once their service is complete. This option would be documented and there should be automatic recognition of these individuals as Patriots and Heroes. This allows Congress and the American people to prioritize what benefits are actually required.
