Require insurance companies to pay for all prescriptions written by a licensed physician or health care professional.

Created by P.C. on January 04, 2013

Require all insurance companies to pay for prescriptions when they are written by a licensed physician or medical professional who may legally write a prescription. If a patient has a current policy with the insurance company, the company must cover the prescription according to the benefits for other prescriptions outlined in the coverage description under prescription coverage. The company can not interfere with the decision made by the physician when determining whether the prescription is necessary for the patient/ policy holder or covered member. The practice of denying coverage for medications based on insurance company financial savings efforts should be considered practicing medicine without a medical degree or license and therefore illegal in the United States of America.
