Require insurance companies to provide Truth in Insurance Statement

Created by D.C. on November 09, 2013

Similar to the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act NLEA of 1990 and similar to the Truth in Lending Act of 1968, I propose a law which requires insurance companies, regardless of whether they participate in the U.S. Government Health Exchange, to easily provide a Truth in Insurance Statement.

This statement would require a standardized format, and use industry specific metrics such as
1. Monthly Premium
2. Copay
3. Annual Limits
4. Lifetime Caps
5. Catastrophic Event Limits
etc.
