Require Intelligence Testing for Every Politician Subsequent to the Declaration of His or Her Candidacy.

It's of supreme interest to both the United States and the world that intelligent and ethical politicians are elected to act on the behalf of the American people. Yet the effects of our current selection process are leaving many Americans feeling confused, disheartened, and angry. The time is ripe to elevate the political arena by requiring every politician to take the most reliable intelligence test available and to make the results public knowledge. The enactment of such a policy will: 1. Provide a fair and objective measurement of each candidate's potential ability. 2. Deter inept candidates who otherwise might have been able to lie, boast, or buy their way into political office. 3. Reinvigorate public confidence in self-government while inspiring a new sense of duty in our leadership.
