Require internet service providers to allow maximum speeds without extra cost.

Created by C.T. on February 12, 2013

Internet service providers charge extra for faster internet speeds. They are throttling back our speeds so we have to pay more for the fastest internet. We need to put a stop to this. We need to increase spending on network infrastructure and keep big companies from price gauging our internet connection. We have an internet speed potential of 300Mbps down/65Mbps up with Verizon FiOS, but they charge $210 a month. Standard plans are only 15Mbps down/5Mbps up. Why isn't the fastest speed standard? It's not like it costs them more to make it faster. It's all provided through the same fiber optic cables.
