We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Require interpersonal communication skills, social behavior classes, and psychological evaluations in Police Academies.

Created by R.R. on July 07, 2016

Social media has exposed many examples of excessive police brutality, some resulting in unlawful deaths. We propose that police academies should more stongly screen for unacceptable behaviors such as anger issues, filtering out future aggressive officers. Further, more in depth classes on communication skills with civilians and social behaviors. These institutes should be federally accredited and monitored.

Post graduation, police officers should maintain an annual psych evaluation to screen for ptsd, anger issues, cynicism etc.

Most police officers are good people, and most of these terrible events are even caused by good people. We just need to filter out the bad police and mentally prepare our good police for uncertain situations.
