Require issues such as Gay Marriage and Immigration to be a put up to a National vote

Major Issues, specifically gay marriage and immigration need to be put up to a National vote. The majority in this country are fed up with New York and California dictating to the rest of us how to we should live our lives. Also, the majority in America have nothing but doubts about our elected leaders doing the job they were hired to do, which is to act as an extension of the will of the people, not to decide what THEY want to do or play at politics. The power and honor of the free thinking American individual has been trampled on by major power players and major media outlets and those who have versus those who have not. The President says he listens to THE PEOPLE. Letting THE PEOPLE vote on these crucial issues is the only way to prove that. WE THE PEOPLE want our country back.
