Require the labeling of GMOs in our foods

As an intelligent adult I have a responsibility to know what is in the food I ingest for good health for me and my family. As an intelligent adult I have a right to demand that the people who provide my food tell me what is in it. Other than having somethinlg to hide I can't understand why they would be hesitant about informing of such matters.
We have many sources of information that would tell what is in any product; unless it is deliberately hidden. If that is the case, how can I intelligently make decision for mly family, for whom I am responsible. (not someone else.)
