Whereas lawmakers are often ignorant about the function and purpose of firearms in America, and whereas the government puts higher trust in government employees than their subjects; we petition the White House to require all law enforcement institutions and officers to abide the small arms gun restrictions and limitations placed upon average Americans.
Such regulations would include weapon type, appearance, and magazine capacity. The result of such rules would ensure that politicians and the President are educated by Police and Military about the value of these tools in neutralizing violent threats against our safety. We have a need for self defense in our homes and on our property that is no less important that an armed officer has while conducting his/her job.
