Require local police departments to provide all active duty police officers to wear a continuously recording body camera

Created by Q.A. on November 27, 2014

Local municipalities should be required to work with local police departments to provide all active duty police officers with a continuously recording body cameras. These cameras should be similar to Go Pro cameras.

Recordings from cameras will be up-linked to regional databases overseen under the auspices of the Department of Justice via a joint committee formed from the Civil Rights Division and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Cameras will serve as a visual mechanism to offer unbiased evidence of any engagement between law enforcement and citizens, whether that engagement is viewed to be justified or not in the court of public opinion.
