Genetically Modified Organisms are a growing part of food production around the world. While upwards of 60 countries all over the world including Australia and all countries of the European union have restrictions and bans of GMOs because they are considered unsafe America does not label our food for GMOs. In 2012 a poll showed that 91% of the public wanted to know if they were purchasing food containing GMOs. 53% of people in the poll by the New York Times said if they would not buy food containing GMOs.
Americans are calling out for a change in the FDA regulation. We want mandatory labeling of Genetically Modified Organisms on all products that contain such things.
