Many people buy seed at local stores, with the idea that the flowers and plants they are planting are good for our honeybee and insect populations. These bees and insects are the pollinators of our foods. Due to current labeling regulations, however, people may not realize that the seeds they are buying are harmful to the insects they are trying to help. People cannot make an educated decision without having the proper information. Its just that simple. If neonicitinoid pesticides are embedded or part of the seed, people have a right to know since this may not be the product they are intending to purchase.
