If everyone received a mental health check when they turn 18 years old, this could stop or alert the authorities to possible future attacks or acts of violence. Instead of just banning guns and leaving people who are of sound mind defenseless, stop the mentally ill people of this nation from committing these heinous acts of violence. This check should be paid for and provided by the Government! If an individual refuses to take the mental health exam, then these individuals should not be allowed any financial assistance provided by the government! If an individual should fail this mental health exam, they should be ordered to seek immediate professional help! They should also not be allowed to own a gun or live in a residence where there is a gun immediately available!
