All individuals receiving any form of Welfare Assistance from the federal government should be required to take a monthly drug/alcohol test in order to continue receiving assistance. The government funds that are contributed to Welfare Assistance are provided by the taxation of hard working Americans. Those individuals that are able to work, should do so. These funds could be put to better use in a variety of ways. Too many people take advantage of government assistance, and it is time that we as a country put an end to it. Drug and alcohol abusers that collect welfare, are stealing money from every American that pays taxes.
