Military actions taken by our government is not a matter that merely affects our government, but our country and people as a whole as nothing else. War and/or lethal military action against any power should reflect the opinion of the population of the country, as the implications and possible dangers of engaging in such actions is in all of our interest. I propose emergency polling booths erected, as well as a system to possibly have an online voting mechanism, to allow the American people to consent to whether or not we are, democratically, in favor of the actions to be taken. Whether the conflict ends with victory or defeat, we bear the weight financially, emotionally, as well as with our blood. We have the right to decide as a people whether we wish for that responsibility.
