Citizenship in the United States of America should be held in great esteem, and should require more than simple location of birth. Citizens of this country, natural born or naturalized, should have a minimal amount of knowledge of this great nation's history, in order to fully appreciate the significance of their vote. Casting a vote for any candidate without due diligence is an insult to the Founding Fathers and those that have defended this country since its inception.
It is reasonable and prudent to require every citizen to take and pass a U.S. Citizenship test as given by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Servies, by the legal voting age of 18.
