Require the NCAA to allow Major League Baseball draftees the right to hire an agent without losing their amateur status.

Created by B.E. on February 22, 2014

The NCAA currently mandates that student athletes may not be represented in contract negotiations with Major League Baseball organizations without fear of losing their eligibility. To require a young athlete to negotiate on their own behalf against trained legal teams from sometimes billion dollar franchises is absurd, and likely illegal. We request the President advise the NCAA that failure to address this unfair regulation will result in a review by the Department of Justice on behalf of amateur athletes in all sports.
