Millions of dollars go to big corporation sponsors and university employees as a result of the current BCS system. Thousands of students are sacrificing their well being to play football. In exchange, they get an education that does nothing to prepare them for the real world. Worthless degrees force many players to enter a work force they are not qualified for. A SMALL percentage of players go to the NFL, not ever having to meet University expectations before making millions.
All this exists for a championship that only TWO teams can compete for. With all the questionable tactics and morals of the NCAA and the BCS, it is only right that more of these less fortunate players have an opportunity to play in the championship. An NFL-style, 6-team playoff gives more kids like this a chance.
