Our public universities are partially funded with public tax dollars. The NCAA has a contract with ESPN that prevents non-cable subscribing football fans from seeing local NCAA games. The US government should require the NCAA to create an exemption for local tv markets to broadcast regional team sports so non-cable fans can support public universities without paying for cable.
