Require a newly signed Release of Information each time anyone requests confidential Physician/Patient documentation.

Created by J.H. on July 06, 2013

It is extremely important that all Patients become aware that copies of their "confidential medical record" are being collected & sent to their insurance companies.

When we purchase health insurance, we all must sign a "blanket" release of information, allowing our insurance company the right to obtain copies of all of our confidential medical records at anytime without ever notifying us again.

HIPPA does not protect us from our Insurance Companies. Confidential medical records MUST remain confidential.

We must require that each time any entity, including Insurance Companies, requests confidential Patient information, they are required to obtain a new, specific, signed release of information from that Patient.

Confidential medical information is currently not confidential.
