The NFL has a paid subscription service, called NFL Sunday Ticket, that allows sports fans to watch football games not broadcast in their local area. The NFL has a long-standing exclusive contract with DirecTV for Sunday Ticket. Other cable/satellite providers cannot offer their customers the Sunday Ticket. Only the NFL has such an exclusive arrangement. All other paid programming like baseball, basketball, hockey, and NASCAR races are available through multiple cable/ satellite providers. Paid channels like HBO, Starz, and Showtime are available through multiple cable/satellite providers. Help more consumers gain access to NFL Sunday Ticket by requiring that it be made available through all cable and satellite providers.
