Require nutritional labels to include a QR code containing an id that corresponds to an online version of the info.

Created by H.S. on February 27, 2014

Require that along with the traditional nutritional information label that there be a QR code containing a unique identifier which corresponds to a publicly available online database entry. Accessible through the web or an API.

This will spur the development of dieting and nutritional apps that can precisely track diets. These apps will make it easier to keep track of what you eat. With the ease of development created by having a free and standardized information source there will surely be a variety of apps that will be tailored to fit everyone's needs.

With the added choice and ease of use of dieting apps more people will likely use such tools to make better food choices, hopefully leading to healthier people. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
