There is a dearth of quality children's programming on television these days. If it's not trying to sell poorly made toys made in Chinese sweat shops it is not being broadcast on American television. To combat this, the White House should immediately insist the PBS and LeVar Burton begin producing new episodes of "Reading Rainbow," the TV show encouraged children to read and discover the world around them through imagination.
Also if LeVar Burton is unavailable Dulé Hill is an acceptable substitute.
