People in public or private positions that cause damage to infrastructure and/or human health on a mass scale should be imprisoned for a mandatory prison term from 5 years to life without time off for good behavior.
People in such scientific, engineering, or technical positions should be required to hold the highest certifications their field offers. This penalty pertains to people holding the final decision making authorizations only, and to officers or public officer holders that directed such actions.
This legislation should be federally sponsored.
