A huge proportion of our population never receives any formal education on managing their personal finances. The case for this education is compelling, as financial literacy has been tied to everything from better retirement planning and saving to lower rates of bankruptcy and loan delinquency to increased confidence and personal happiness.
There are also benefits in the workplace of increased financial education as employers see increased worker productivity, reduced absenteeism, lower administrative costs, reduced turnover, and increased morale.
