With all these fine upstanding truly American patriots who love their country so much that they want to secede from it suddenly, I'm sure they can all agree that these petitions are an easy target for petition fraud. Why, anybody could sign up as an account and put their name on this list. Fraud could very well be rampant.
This is why we the people request that signers of petitions need to be rigorously verified using photo identification, blood testing, and intervaginal/internal probes in order to determine whether or not these people are legal signees.
We the people are sure that the signers of the sedition - er, secession, I get those two confused sometimes - petitions will have no problem with these simple requirements.
