Military members in all grades, services, and levels, can be prosecuted for deliberately harming their unit, community, or leaders. If the civilian executive misleads and/or lies to others, reprisal is normally absent. The civilian Commander in Chief, who orders the General, should follow the basic rules of integrity and conduct, of the Private. The Uniform Code of Military Justice should apply to the Commander in Chief.
