The Advanced Placement Program is a program created by the College Board to provide college-level courses at the high school level, such as Math, Science, History, Art, Foreign Language and English.
Research has shown that students in California who attend schools that have more funds allocated to professionally training teachers have a higher passing rate on AP exams. If more funds are provided to train AP teachers, they will be better-prepared to teach their students the advanced curriculum that is required to pass these exams. Please support this petition so that all teachers and students, despite the limited economic resources of their district, are enabled to benefit from the AP program as much as possible.
