Require the President and other government leaders to speak under oath to the public to eliminate all the lies

Created by T.A. on March 03, 2013

Require the President of the United States, the Speaker of the House, and the Senate Majority Leader to be under oath in any scheduled press conference or written press release. Any of these officials would be subject to perjury law for these statements to the American public. An exclusion could be made for matters related directly to national security.

These elected officials should be held to the highest standards, and telling the truth to Americans should never be a question. The American people should not have to rely on media fact-checks to believe what the government tells them. If these officials believe they need lies to advance political agendas, they are not acting in accordance with the will of the people.
