Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is an extremely dangerous chemical, with amounts as small as a teaspoon proving fatal. DHMO is responsible for nearly 4,000 deaths per year in the US alone, with 20% of these deaths being children under age 14, and for every child that dies, an average of 5 children are hospitalized for a non-fatal DHMO related incident.
This chemical is in almost every product we consume, and can be proven very deadly. However, current government regulations require no labeling to be required that explains the dangers of DHMO. If a company is willingly putting DHMO in their products, consumers should at least be warned of the dangers.
