Due to realities of our current Firearms control regime as well as the ease of purchasing a gun legally. We the people request in order for the safety of ourselves as well as the citizens to require testing of mental stability for the owners of the guns as well as direct family members. In wake of the recent shootings in CT, as well as previous incidents of gun violence on the campuses of multiple colleges and schools, we ask the government to keep the most dangerous of arms out of the hands of the mentally unstable as well as possible sources to obtain these firearms from a family member.
With the issue of politics, we propose a realistic compromise where we can protect both our second amendment but increase measures to prevent irresponsible parties from possessing such weapons.
