Require the public education system to switch to Linux based operating systems which are free and more secure & robust

Created by J.H. on October 28, 2011

What i would like to see is the public education system switch all of their computers over to Linux based operating systems. This would cut millions in expenses paid to Microsoft and Apple Computers annually to obtain software licensing on their Operating Systems, it would also remove the costs of applications like Autocad, Microsoft Visual C++, Microsoft Office, etc. You see 99% of all Linux based software is also free. . At the same time Linux based systems can be networked with a method called clustering...sort of a poor mans super computer. Think of all that idle processing power in a school. Universities pay for access to that much processing power by the hour.

Its FREE, more secure, faster, profitable, and more robust all while providing more opportunities to learn.
