OVERTURN A DISORDERLY CONDUCT CHARGE AND REQUIRE PUBLIC PROFESSIONALS TO RECEIVE MORE MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING NOW

Created by A.B. on July 01, 2015

On January 26, 2015 I received a disorderly conduct engage in fighting charge from East Pennsboro Police in Cumberland Co PA. It stems from me trying to be responsible, I was feeling suicidal and unsafe so I drove myself to the hospital to receive help. I have PTSD, bipolar, social anxiety, and borderline personality disorder. It was busy, my anxiety kicked in and wanted to leave. In my deteriorated mental state I called the police for help. At one point a nurse touched me and I became dissociated(symptom of PTSD), meaning I was not mentally in my body. I could see everything happening far away. I have now been found guilty of the charge and have a $300 fine. STOP THE WAR AGAINST THE MENTALLY ILL! More training would mean less people scared to get help which means less national tragedies!
