A federal law to mirror state laws already in place to require railroads to have a minimum of two person road crews, which the federal railroad administration supports. The industry has seen a decline in safety and customer service where one man yard crews exist due to one person doing the work of team of two or more causing derailments to be more prevalent. The railroads go through your city's and neighboring towns every day with dangerous chemicals. Even with advances in technology, two man crews is vital for safety and security of our nations rail system.
