Created by M.A. on December 17, 2012

The requirement for Welfare recipients to pay and take random drug tests for benefits. These benefits are given by taxpaying individuals for the benefit of the less fortunate. It is our duty to make sure the money is being spend in a way that would help those individual in need it of it. If an individual can afford to pay for illegal substances they should be able to support themselves. Any savings even small could be placed back into the system to further benefit other recipients. On average a single person could receive up to $500 dollars monthly with food and TANF. In a 4 month Florida trial the state revoked 148 individuals under drug testing law. This would have saved $74,000 in benefits and if continued numbers $222,000 yearly. All state year average under these numbers = 11 mil.
