We the people of the United States of America are slacking in everything in comparison to other countries. One of the main reasons recycling is not encouraged here is because the cost of recycling is more expensive than making something from new materials. Other countries, including Germany and Korea, have laws in place to prohibit the act of not recycling. Americans need to stop being lazy and start taking care of their environment. We need easy access to recycling education, recycling bins, and recycling dropoffs.
Americans will benefit from recycling in more ways than one. Recycling is good for the economy, creates jobs, reduces waste, is good for the environment, saves energy, preserves landfill space, prevents global warming, reduces water pollution, and protects wildlife.
