Require regular drug testing for people getting food stamps and other forms of government assistance.

Created by K.D. on October 28, 2013

The ability to receive government assistance when needed is very important and there are wonderful programs for those that are temporarily in need. There are many that take advantage of these programs while many deserve them and are turned away. It is required in most places to take a drug test before being given a job, yet it isn't required to get food stamps or other forms of assistance. Having been temporarily in need of these programs in the past myself, I have seen with my own eyes the amount of people that receive food stamps and either sell them or find other ways to get money to buy drugs. If hard working people have to take a drug test to get a job then why are our tax dollars going to support someone else with no intention of working who sits around all day and does drugs?
