It is time for all firearms to have RFID tags included in the firing pin and stock. If the two are separated, police are notified. Any institution or private home will be able to have an alert system that receives complete registry information about the proper owner of any gun that comes within range. Police then can be notified if the receiver feels it necessary (such as at a school) . The 2nd Amendment provides for the right for private citizens to bear arms. However, this does not provide for the bearing of arms in secret. RFID tags are already used in driver's licenses, so the privacy issues are minimal. Firearms reported stolen may be tracked quickly. After four years, possession of an untagged firearm is mandatory minimum 10 years for each weapon.
