require schools to pay student workers at least federal minimum wage.

Having worked as a school custodian for almost seven years I fully acknowledge that the job is not glamorous. However, I do find it disappointing that the government allows schools to pay their student employees less than minimum wage for their work. The fact that many students must work at least a part time job is acceptable, perhaps even expected, but the fact that schools can deem the students' time worth so little is unconscionable. I simply ask that schools pay their students at least federal minimum wage.
