Mental health is equally if not more important than physical health, yet it is often neglected.
Elementary and secondary schools need to provide counseling or a mental health professional for children in need.
Teachers also need to be trained on how to be more aware and be able to recognize issues in students.
From bullies to the bullied, many kids, especially teenagers, need help.
Providing the help they need through the school will eliminate the struggle to find an affordable doctor and avoid the embarrassment and possible neglect from seeking help through their family or others.
