Require elected lawmakers to pass a competency test illustrating basic knowledge and understanding before sponsoring or voting upon individual issues. To dictate legislation without being fully educated on an issue is no less irresponsible than driving without a license.

Ex #1 Only 47 / 100 senators attended a brief on government surveillance programs, despite previous admissions they were not fully aware of the programs they authorized.
Ex #2 U.S. Rep. DeGette sponsored gun control legislation without an understanding of how firearms actually work.
Ex #3 U.S. Rep Akin declared that women can naturally "shutdown" pregnancies from "legitimate rape" contrary to science.
STOP LETTING UNLICENSED DRIVERS BEHIND THE WHEEL OF OUR COUNTRY.
