We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Require a simple "unsubscribe from all" link in every automated email.

Created by S.I. on October 19, 2016

All automated emails should contain a simple "unsubscribe from all" link that unsubscribes the recipient with one click from all automated emails from the sender. The following should not be allowed to fulfill this requirement:

1. Links to "change your email preferences" (or similar) that require logging in with a password.

2. Links to "unsubscribe" that lead to a page requiring the recipient to check one or more boxes confirming the extent of the unsubscribe.

3. Links to "unsubscribe" that lead to a page requiring the recipient to type in his or her email address.

4. Links to "unsubscribe" that only unsubscribe the recipient from one type of automated email (e.g., "weekly update" emails, but not "monthly update" emails).
