Require a Small Business Impact Statement for all existing and proposed federal regulations.

Created by K.B. on January 29, 2014

The Federal government has a nasty habit... The habit of creating well-intentioned regulations that have the unintended consequence of creating barriers to entry for new, innovative, and job-creating companies.

We believe that the more participants in a market there are, the more likely citizens are to get safe, cheap, and effective products... Whether the product is health care, food, cars, or anything else.

To force the Federal government to quit its nasty habit, we propose a Small Business Impact Statement (SBIS) for all existing and future regulations. Not unlike an Environmental Impact Report, the SBIS will inform the public of the effects of the regulation in question on allowing new participants to compete with large, entrenched companies in a given market.
