A mandate that requries all new residential and commercial buildings to include installation of solar panels would vector the United States in the right direction towards becoming more energy efficient. The future increase in solar development would decrease the technological and construction costs over time. Families would be able to own homes that are energy efficient while reducing energy bill costs. The longterm impacts would be both beneficial to the supporting Green markets, the consumers, the environment and lessen our need for foreign energy.
