All United States individuals who receive Government/Public assistance in the form of Food Stamps, Welfare, Rental Assistance, and Heating Assistance are to complete a semi-annual, 5 panel split urine sample drug test, and they must pass the drug test in order to receive benefits. If an individual has a drug test which comes back with a positive result for illegal drugs then their benefits will be discontinued immediately. If an individual comes back from a drug test with a positive result for a drug found in prescription pain killers for example, if they cannot immediately produce a prescription for that opiate or narcotic, then their Government Assistance benefits will be discontinued immediately. This excludes SS & Medicare benefits.
