This petition is for the purpose of requiring the government to take a serious look at standardizing the nursing uniform by requiring nurses to wear the traditional nurses cap.
In this day and age, nurses and other medical personnel wear any combination of scrubs and such and it is impossible to tell one medical person from another. Requiring nurses to wear the traditional nurses cap helps patients immediately recognize a nurse. Anyone not wearing a nurses cap in a nursing unit will be immediately noticed and it could increase security at hospitals and medical institutions.
Nurses wearing the traditional nurses cap would instantly add comfort to patients and family members and it would present a more professional appearance.
