Prohibiting private groups from contributing to campaigns will ensure that elections are fair and honest. Having campaigns funded by tax dollars will improve the quality of government by keeping special interest groups out of politics. These are beliefs held by supporters of the Democratic Party.
Therefore, we petition the Obama administration to require state governments where the Democratic Party has a majority to exclude all private organizations from contributing to campaigns, because so far not a single one of these states has done this.
