Require states to provide active security services to protect the lives of all individuals on the school grounds.

Just as courthouses and federal office buildings have armed security to prevent individuals from entering with weapons, and to protect the lives of the individuals inside, states and local governments should be required to provide the same or greater protection at the locations where large numbers of our most vulnerable citizens can be found. Failure of the federal, state, and local governments to fully protect our children by use of the same, effective, means used to protect public officials such as those named above, should be a criminal act, for which elected officials need to be held accountable.
